Columbia SC - Cousins & Volleyball

On the spur of the moment we decided to travel to Columbia SC to see the Lady Gators Volleyball team go for a perfect 20-0 mark in SEC play. This is something no team has done since the league began round robin play 7 years ago. The team is awesome and the win likely will make them the #1 seed in the NCAA tournament. A few pictures of the team are posted on the facebook link.
I remembered that I have three cousins that live in Columbia, so with a little help from modern email and smartphones we were able to have breakfast together the next morning. The picture shows from left to right, Dale (Barbara), Beth, me, Carol, and Aunt Anne Mae.
Also, are some cool picts of the South Carolina State house and the holiday decorations. link to pictures:

Black Friday

Can't imagine standing, seating, etc., for hours or in some cases a day 1/2 to buy a TV from China or a drum set from Mexico. Anyway Sharon and I took a walk along Gainesville's longest strip mall tonight and it looks like Best Buy and Target are the winners. Here are a few picks of the midnight shoppers.

Sorting Hat

Well can you guess which house the hat picked for Sharon and I?

Well, Sharon is in Slytherin and Allan is in Ravenclaw. Sharon wanted a do over.

Our New Vacation Home

Well everyone needs two vacation homes. Either Sharon or I was given a Magic potion or the Sheraton Hotel chain really wanted to sell us this home. After serious discounts we were given enough free hotel stays that we should never have to pay for a hotel stay the rest of lives! Here are some pictures of the grounds.

Dexter and Grandfather

I like this shot of Dexter and me, thought I would share.

Dexter, Daddy, & Mommy

Give me a sign.
Dexter is 17 months going-on 2 years, i.e. he has learned NO really well. But unlike many toddlers, he signs many words, I have seen: more, all done, daddy, dogs, airplane, to name some. He may have signed Grandfather, because it is very similar to father. We can only guess. Anyway here are a few pictures of him and his mommy and daddy.
